I feel honored to live Silicon Valley - part of the world that leads technological innovation. I believe that the US comprehensive laws and well-developed business tools are main reason that allow Bay Area to be on the frontier of technology. Patents is one of the main means to keep the competitive advantage and differentiate the product in the competitive market. Knowing how patents work and how they can bring additional value to the company can make it grow exponentially.
I am currently expanding my expertise and knowledge on ledge of technological innovation in the most challenging business arenas: IT security, patent law, and I believe that Patent Engineering Class will add up to my diverse set of skills and knowledge.
I agree with you about the opportunity to get immersed within the Silicon Valley culture. I think the new up and coming area for innovation is the Tri Valley region, where Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is though. If you are looking for technology-based companies, you will find a lot of start-ups building out off of the labs. Patent engineering is crucial to the success of all those companies.
