Post 11: Google's Patent on Google Glasses

Google has filed the patent for one of the most technically innovative product that has ever been developed in the world. Google Glass project is a revolutionary way of accessing Internet anywhere without having to carry around a laptop. It is an augmented reality wearable computer with Head Mounted Display that takes a step further with interacting with Internet and computers hands-free with natural voice commands.

The patent Google filed for the Google Glass project in February 2013 doesn't only describe the individual components of Glass as in the original patent filed in August 2012, but the overall system, including display, frames, image projection and capture, wireless connection and other hardware components.

The patent is described in a deeply complicated language, and explains in a very detailed way the way Google Glass functions. It describes the way the reality projects can be overlaid with the digital images, thus creating augmented reality and the way the display changes its projection depending on the way the user's head is moving and other, super technological and innovative functions.

There are also images attached to the patent that show how the wearable hardware looks, and disposition of different elements in the glasses.

In overall, Google is planning on revolutionizing the way users interact with the computers and Internet, and Sergei Brin is already actively wearing Google Glass in all the events to create more buzz and awareness around the project.

Get excited, we might witness launch  one of the most breakthrough technologies in 21 century !
